Press Release: Every Vote Counts!

ST. CHARLES, October 15, 2021– The Kane County Democratic Women (KCDW) will host a forum on “Voting and Integrity” on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Gail Borden Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin, IL

What does integrity mean in relation to voting? Webster defines integrity as “firm adherence to a code of especially moral … values: incorruptibility.” As citizens of a democracy, we expect our elections to be honest and free of corruption even when the outcome is different than we hoped. To discuss election integrity and public confidence in the election process, KCDW presents two knowledgeable speakers from different backgrounds. Both understand the political process and the importance of transparency and accountability in the election process.  William “Bill” Muck is Chair of the Political Science Department at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, and Brian Pollock representing Kane County Clerk Jack Cunningham are the featured speakers. The forum is free and open to the public. Preregistration is requested but not required. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
